Moodboard Monday :: Summer Pastels

August 18th, 2014 | Blog, Moodboard

Summer is commonly depicted with vibrant hues of turquoise, orange or rich sun-kissed colors from nature. However, there are moments – usually early in the day before the sun has fully risen – when the colors of summer appear a bit quieter. A softer version of later midday tones, these pastel colors evoke a feeling of comfort and eases us into the day.

Moodboard Monday :: On the Lake

August 11th, 2014 | Blog, Moodboard

There are few sweeter things in life than spending summers lakeside. Visiting lake towns for summer escapes usually means traveling to a place that time has forgotten – where you take things a little slower and savor every moment, big or small. Spending time by the lake also usually brings about a time of reflection – leaving you with a clear head knowing what is most important in life.

Here’s A Thought :: Heading Back To School …

August 7th, 2014 | Blog, Here's a Thought

I’ve already started seeing back to school advertisements and we have a full month of summer left! Although I won’t be going back to school this fall – it got me thinking about learning. The learning process shouldn’t end just because we’re not headed back to the classroom in September – especially for those of us in the fields of marketing, public relations and social media. Hashtags, or the pound sign (#), were first used on Twitter to isolate and gather tweets about certain…

Moodboard Monday :: Nantucket

August 4th, 2014 | Blog, Moodboard

Sometimes a change of scenery sparks new ideas, new ways of looking at things and much needed relaxation. Nantucket is perfect for taking life a little more slowly for a spell.

Nantucket is an island 30 miles off the coast of Massachusetts. It is filled with that quintessential New England charm and has a personality all its own. The island is known for its whaling history, windswept flats, lush terrain, slower modes of transportation (bicycles), and a preppy, laid back vibe. We dream of wild roses, salty breezes, sleepy beaches, cool evening porch conversations and long leisurely sailboat rides.
