Here’s A Thought :: Heading for the End Zone

fourth quarter marketing

Now that we have set our clocks back last weekend for daylight savings, our days feel just too short. How are we going to get it all done when it’s pitch black outside by 5 pm? Couple that with the fact that there are only 54 more days until 2016, and I’m in an all-out panic. What’s a marketer to do?

Well, how about a little motivation for the home team? Huddle up, 2015. We may only have a few minutes on the clock in the 4th quarter, but we have possession of the ball and we’re not done yet.

So here is your little fourth quarter challenge: Can you write down 16 (16 for 2016) marketing projects you wish to complete before December 31st? Let’s motivate one another to score one last touchdown and win 2015!

Here is my list of 16 fourth quarter marketing initiatives I am going to challenge myself to complete starting now:

  1. Elements New Year’s card and gift designed, printed and sent out;
  2. Complete a ‘wish list’ and project schedule for our new Elements website design;
  3. Updates to all pages of our current website (we have a long list);
  4. An in-studio photo shoot;
  5. Write a marketing plan for the first quarter of 2016;
  6. Create marketing budget for 2016;
  7. Finish an article and get it submitted for January publication to a trade magazine;
  8. Get finished projects photographed;
  9. Write four new case studies;
  10. Send out two e-newsletters to two different targeted lists;
  11. Deliver our ‘give thanks’ promotion;
  12. Design, print and mail our first postcard;
  13. Follow-up mailing with calls;
  14. Research and produce new promo item for upcoming winter shows;
  15. Update and reprint our brochure for winter shows;
  16. Off-site meeting + celebration to discuss 2016 with the Elements team!

Alright, your turn!

The game clock is ticking. What is your list of 16 items to pull off a win in 2015? Let’s help motivate each other to get to the end zone, spike the ball and do a victory dance together. Go, Team!
