You have built your website and followed best inbound marketing practices by adding your Call-to-Action (CTAs) to every page of your site. Great!

You understand the importance of having a CTAs on every page because you know that searchers could enter your site to any page within your site and you want to let them know next steps. Perfect!

But here is where most marketers fall down. What is the CTAs that has the lowest conversion rate? According to the co-founders of Hubspot, Brain Halligan and Dharmesh Shah, it’s “Contact Us.” Yup. You heard me right, “Contact Us.” So, if that is your CTA, change it immediately!

Some tips for an alternative Call-to-Action are to make it action oriented. Try using an verb such as “Start Simplifying”; “Begin Today”;  “Subscribe”; “Join Free”; “Get Started”; “Give Us A Try”. You get the idea – action words that are clear what action you wish your prospect to take.

And, in an effort to build trust with those signing up, remember to add a link to your Privacy Policy where appropriate.
